About: Not as grandiose as Santa Elena but still has its charm. If you’re lucky, you might catch a Boquillas local across the river singing into the canyon. On the hike to the canyon, you will notice holes in the ground. These are mortar holes from ancient natives of the area.
Pros: The mortars are kinda cool and there are some nice views.
Cons: It’s been a while since I hiked this but… it’s not one of my favorite hikes in the area.
Tips: …I don’t know… Bring cash so you can buy trinkets along the way that the Boquillas locals leave out along the trail. Oh, wait, but that would be illegal so don’t do that…
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think most people love this more than I did. It’s good, just not priority in my book.
